Meet Allen
Your Videographer
I’m Allen Myers, a Portland, Oregon–based filmmaker and wedding cinematographer creating artful, cinematic films for couples. With over a decade of experience across cultures and continents, I’ve documented Southeast Asian, Muslim, Sikh and Hindu Indian, same-sex, and multicultural celebrations, each one deepening my understanding of how love is expressed around the world.
My background in award-winning documentary and narrative filmmaking shapes a natural, story-driven approach. Rather than staging moments, I let them unfold, working closely with couples so their film feels deeply personal and unmistakably their own. Every wedding is unique, and every film should be too.
Blending cinematic composition with an unobtrusive, documentary eye, I translate feeling into motion and sound—from intimate backyard ceremonies to vibrant, multi-day celebrations. My goal is simple: to preserve the fleeting moments you’ll want to return to for the rest of your lives.
A Reminder of The Process
1. Time Leading Up
In the months leading up to your wedding day, we’ll discuss your specific video requests. Below, you’ll find a form to fill out. Once it’s completed, Allen and I will schedule a call with you to go over everything in more depth. This helps us clearly understand what’s most important to you and how we can best serve you on your wedding day.
2. The Wedding Day
From the moment we arrive to capture your details to the last song on the dance floor, Allen and I will be by your side—documenting your day as it unfolds naturally, beautifully, and authentically.
3. Preview
If your videography package includes a social media teaser, you’ll receive it within 2–3 weeks of your wedding. The teaser will be uploaded to the same online gallery as your wedding photography. These one-minute films highlight key moments from your day and are perfect for sharing with friends and family.
4. Final Video
Your finished wedding film will be delivered through the same online gallery as your wedding photography, typically within 6–8 weeks of your wedding day. Once your film is ready, you’ll have time to watch it and share any notes or small refinements you’d like us to make. One round of thoughtful revisions is included, so we can make sure everything feels just right.
If no revision requests are submitted within seven days of delivery, the film will be considered complete and finalized. Additional rounds of edits beyond the included revision may be available for an added fee.
